Blood Queen Lana'thel is the Crimson wing boss in Icecrown Citadel, she has been turned by the Lich King into a winged vampire.

Important points to remember:

• If you get hit with Swarming Shadows, please run around near the outer edge of the room. Melee may opt to stay put instead of run as long as the fire isn't hurting anyone else. When in doubt, run.

• If you get linked to another player, you both need to run to the center of the room to dispel it. If one of the linked players is MT or OT, you will instead need to run to them since they cannot move.

• All ranged needs to keep spread out to avoid splash damage from various abilities. During the air phase, this advice applies to everyone.

• When you get bitten, make sure you pay attention to your action bar. Once it changes to a single ability (Bite on #1), you have 10 seconds to bite another player or get MC'd. Once you are bitten, you glow with a purple aura, so you can tell who has already been bitten visually. Make sure you keep an eye out for someone to bite before you actually need to bite them.

• If you are low on hps, you may wish to invest in raising it a bit if you keep dying. Your healers will be constantly healing the entire raid as well as massively healing the tanks. Helping out your healers may be all it takes to tip the scales in your favor.

• In order to control who gets bit first, have the person you wish bit to get their threat just under the two tanks. Healers, unless you wish to get bit, refrain from front loading any heals before the pull as you will have no time to slack off healing to let your threat drop once she is engaged.
